Guten Tag From Germany!
Some stories take us across town.
Others take us across the world.
This adventure involved a passport, an overnight flight, and one very famous German automaker...whose name we totally can't mention. Let's just say if you happen to notice a giant logo in one of our behind-the-scenes photos...well...we're not saying anything.
No matter where a great story takes us, Team Savvy is always ready to roll.
For this project, we traveled to Wolfsburg, Germany, where we spent our first day filming interviews for an international corporate video. From carefully lighting each interview to capturing plenty of supporting footage and cinematic b-roll, our goal was to tell a story that felt as polished as it was authentic.
Then it was time to hit the road.
And not just any road.
The Autobahn.
If you've ever dreamed of driving on one of the world's most famous highways, let us tell you...it's every bit as rad as you've imagined. Experiencing stretches of highway without a general speed limit is something every car enthusiast should try at least once. (Don't worry...our focus quickly returned to filmmaking once we arrived!)
The next stop on our adventure was Berlin…
We packed up the cameras, made the drive across Germany, and spent another full day filming interviews and gathering beautiful supporting footage to bring the story together. Every project is a little different, but one thing never changes—we're always looking for those little cinematic moments that help audiences feel like they're part of the story.
That meant rolling cameras for time-lapses, capturing the energy of each location, and making sure every shot helped tell a bigger picture.
As each production day wrapped, we traded our camera gear for walking shoes and explored a little of what Germany had to offer. It's one of our favorite parts of traveling for video production. Every city has its own personality, history, architecture, and culture, and it's always awesome getting to experience a place beyond the viewfinder.
Whether we're filming in a small Utah town, downtown Salt Lake City, Tennessee, or halfway around the world, we've found that great stories have something in common…
The location might change.
The language might change.
The scenery definitely changes.
They're always about people.
And helping people share meaningful stories never gets old…
This trip reminded us that great video production doesn't always happen close to home. Sometimes the best stories require a passport, a little jet lag, and a willingness to jump on a plane with a camera case in hand. Wherever our clients need us, we're excited to help bring their vision to life.
After wrapping production in Germany, it was time for one more long flight home.
And then...
There wasn't much time to unpack.
Our editing team jumped right into post-production, carefully piecing together interviews, cinematic footage, and time-lapses to deliver the finished video on a quick turnaround. That's one of the things we love most about filmmaking. The adventure doesn't end when the cameras stop rolling—it continues all the way through the final cut.
This was truly a bodacious adventure from beginning to end.
A chance to film internationally.
Drive the Autobahn.
Explore incredible cities.
Meet amazing people.
And create another story we're proud to have helped tell.
Where will the next adventure take us?
We're not sure yet...
But our passports are ready.
