Lights, Camera, Road Trip! Exploring the Beauty of Rural Utah

Some video shoots happen inside a studio; others take you on an unforgettable adventure… This project definitely fell into the second category.

Our crew packed up the cameras, loaded the gear, and hit the road to help our friends at Penna Powers tell a story about one of Utah's greatest strengths—its incredible landscapes, hardworking communities, and the many ways public lands and responsible land use make everyday life better for the people who call this state home.

Over several days, we traveled through some of Southern Utah's most beautiful communities, including Cedar City, Beaver, Richfield, Milford, Parowan, and Alton. Every stop had its own personality, scenery, and story waiting to be told.

One of our favorite parts of the project was meeting local residents and hearing what makes these communities special. Every interview reminded us that the best stories don't come from scripts—they come from real people sharing genuine experiences. We loved helping capture those moments and bringing their voices to life on camera.

Of course, no great road trip is complete without a few early alarm clocks going off…

Some mornings started well before sunrise so we could catch that perfect first light spilling across the mountains. Other days stretched into the evening as we waited for golden hour to paint the landscape with warm, cinematic colors. Those are the moments filmmakers live for. Sometimes the best lighting simply can't be rushed, and Utah certainly rewarded our patience with some unforgettable sunrises and sunsets.

As we traveled from town to town, the scenery seemed to change around every bend. Wide-open valleys gave way to towering mountains. Rolling farmland transitioned into dramatic rock formations. Every location felt like a brand-new movie set, reminding us why Utah has become one of the most filmed states in the country.

One stop that really stood out was Milford, where we had the opportunity to film several of the area's diverse energy sources. Seeing massive wind turbines turning against the skyline alongside expansive solar fields was an incredible reminder of how many different industries help keep Utah moving forward. Capturing those scenes from the ground—and from the air—made for some epic footage.

And while we were busy chasing great shots, we also discovered that amazing food is an important part of any successful production road trip.

One of our favorite stops was The Creamery in Beaver. Between the delicious meals, famous cheese curds, and ice cream that absolutely lived up to the hype, it quickly became a crew favorite. Let's just say everyone left happy—and probably a little too full. Great food and great company have a funny way of making long production days even better.

Behind every commercial is a lot more than what makes the final cut. There are miles of driving, carefully planned schedules, changing weather, moving equipment, finding the perfect angles, and plenty of teamwork to make everything come together. While viewers may only see a few seconds of a beautiful landscape on screen, there's a whole lot of movie magic happening behind the scenes to create those moments.

That's one of the things we love most about what we do.

Every project gives us the chance to explore new places, meet incredible people, and help our clients tell stories that connect with audiences in meaningful ways. This wasn't just about capturing beautiful scenery—it was about showcasing the people, communities, industries, and landscapes that make Utah such an amazing place to live.

We're grateful to Penna Powers for inviting us along for the adventure and trusting us to help bring this story to life. It was an unforgettable journey filled with incredible views, wonderful people, and plenty of memories we'll be talking about long after the cameras stopped rolling.

Lights, camera, adventure… We'll happily hit the road again anytime.
