Government video production

Our team has extensive experience working with both national and local government agencies. On the federal level, we’ve had the unique opportunity to collaborate on projects serving both the Department of the Navy and the Department of Energy as joint clients—bringing together complex messaging with clear, engaging visuals. Closer to home, we’ve partnered with the State of Utah on countless initiatives, as well as respected organizations like the University of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Institute. This breadth of experience gives us a strong understanding of the communication needs, standards, and expectations within the public sector.

We produce a wide range of video content tailored to meet the goals of government agencies. From impactful public service announcement campaigns to informative training videos and polished marketing pieces, our team is equipped to handle it all. Whether your project calls for fully-animated storytellinglive-action filming, or a blend of video with dynamic text and motion graphics—we have the tools and expertise to bring it to life. Simply put: if you can envision it, we can create it.

With nearly a decade of experience under our belt, we know how to take your vision and turn it into something truly awesome. From the first spark of an idea to the final polished video, we handle every step of the process—keeping things smooth, collaborative, and (dare we say) a little bit fun along the way. Whether your project calls for something bold, creative, or even a little radical, our team is ready to bring it to life. Take a look at the samples below and see the magic for yourself.

Zero Fatalities - Road Rage

Our team was fired up to work on Penna Powers’ vision for Zero Fatalities, an initiative from the Utah Department of Transportation.

While much of our work is more on the energetic and radical side, this one needed to hit different—in the best, most important way. Road rage isn’t just a bad moment…it can change everything in an instant.

This emotional commercial follows an intense journey—featuring multiple locations and scenes created with a green screen. Every frame was designed to highlight the real consequences of losing control behind the wheel.

Hunstman Cancer Institute - Know Your Body

Huntsman Cancer Institute approached us with the challenge of creating a video that teaches people to recognize cancer symptoms—without relying on voiceover or on-screen text. It needed to connect with viewers from all backgrounds.

We took a visual-first approach and built a story where viewers follow along on a journey with our custom animated characters.

Through expressive animation and thoughtful storytelling, we were able to highlight common cancer symptoms in a way that’s simple, impactful, and easy to grasp. It’s a great example of how animation can break down barriers and deliver a message that truly matters.

Mine safety

Abandoned mines might look like the perfect spot for a little adventure…but trust us, this is one place you don’t want to explore. Penna Powers brought us on to produce this rad (and seriously important) PSA in the historic mining town of Eureka, Utah. With a rad crew, a fantastic actor, and some dramatic, cinematic visuals, we crafted a story that pulls you in—and then reminds you why staying out is the only smart move.

This project was an awesome experience to film, but more importantly, it shines a light on a real risk that people need to understand. Stay safe out there… and maybe save the exploring for somewhere a little less “abandoned mine-y.”

In this awesome, easy-to-follow, you’ll pick up smart tips and simple strategies to cut back on water usage while still rocking that green, great-looking yard. It’s all about working smarter, not soaking harder.

This project came to life with the creative minds at Penna Powers and was brought into the world right here in the Savvy Productions studio—where we love turning important messages into something fun, engaging, and totally watchable.

university of utah - technology licensing office

From cutting-edge research to real-world, game-changing impact—this one’s got some serious brainpower behind it. This marketing video spotlights the University of Utah’s Technology Licensing Office, where big ideas don’t just sit on a shelf…they get out into the world and make things happen.

We had a blast turning the story of complex innovation into a clear, engaging, and (of course) a little bit awesome video. Whether you’re a researcher ready to take your idea to the next level, an entrepreneur hunting for your next big venture, or a company looking to license breakthrough tech, the TLO has the tools, know-how, and the connections to help turn “what if” into “what’s next.”

Utah newbord safe haven

Some stories hit you right in the heart—and this is one of them. Partnering with Rumor Advertising, we created a powerful, cinematic PSA for Utah Newborn Safe Haven. Utah’s Safe Haven law allows a parent to safely, anonymously, and legally relinquish their newborn at a hospital—no questions asked, no fear of prosecution.

The TV spot follows three children celebrating their birthdays—simple, joyful moments that carry a much deeper meaning. Each candle, each smile, represents a future made possible because of a brave and life-changing decision. This was one of those projects where storytelling really matters. It’s not just about creating something that looks beautiful—it’s about sharing something that can truly make a difference.

building success

Get ready—this one brings the energy.️ We turned things all the way up with a high-energy, and fiery edit for the Utah Department of Commerce. Spotlighting the momentum behind companies like Brix Construction, this isn’t your typical industrial video—we packed it with fast-paced visuals, dynamic storytelling, and a style that keeps things moving from start to finish.

The video is also a look at how Utah’s thriving business scene, backed by strong local support, helps companies like this grow, build, and lead the way. Big projects, bold moves, and a whole lot of awesome—this is what happens when great businesses meet a little Savvy video magic.

Show Death who’s boss

Together, with the creative masterminds at Penna Powers, we were able to work on this awesome (and seriously important) TV campaign—featuring none other than the Grim Reaper himself. In this series, Death shows up with a bold mission: to convince people it’s cool to drive impaired.

With a mix of humor, attitude, and some seriously slick storytelling, these spots flip expectations and make one thing crystal clear: don’t take the bait. Stay in control, make the right call, and show Death who’s really in charge. It’s a serious message wrapped in an edgy concept that sticks with you long after the screen goes dark.

Click it or ticket - Seatbelt seasons

No matter the season, one thing never goes out of style is staying safe. Penna Powers asked us to crank out this high-energy, quick-cut PSA commercial that follows a family through all four seasons of adventure. Snow, sunshine, road trips, and everyday drives—it’s a full year of life on the move, all tied together by one simple habit: buckling up.

This spot keeps things fast, fun, and visually fresh while delivering a message that always hits home—seatbelts are always in style, no matter where you’re headed or what the weather’s doing outside. So whether you’re chasing summer road trips or winter wonderlands, remember: click it, own it, and stay safe out there.

in utah - business spotlights

This one is rooted in something strong—and we don’t just mean the trees. Along with Rumor Advertising, we created this inspiring, down-to-earth, and seriously awesome piece highlighting the world of arboriculture and the incredible journey of a thriving female entrepreneur. Breaking stereotypes? Check. Building a successful career in a hands-on, high-skill industry? Double check.

Honest storytelling and engaging visuals show what it looks like when passion, grit, and opportunity come together—and how Utah’s business landscape continues to grow in bold and unexpected ways. Big shoutout to the In Utah initiative for helping spotlight stories like this. At the end of the day, this is what we love doing—telling real stories about real people doing remarkable things.

zero fatalities - i’m not driving

This one hits hard—and it’s meant to. If you take your eyes off the road, even for a second, it could be the last lie you tell. Partnering with Penna Powers, we created this emotionally intense PSA to demonstrate just how fast a simple distraction can turn into a life-changing moment.

Shot on our 8K RED Epic-W, this piece was crafted with precision and purpose. The phone screens were carefully tracked and enhanced with animation in post-production to drive the message home in a way that feels real, immediate, and impossible to ignore.

U of U - giving day

Some of our favorite projects have come from the University of Utah Marketing and Communications office. This energetic Giving Day promotional video was no exception. This piece is all about the excitement, momentum, and community spirit behind Giving Day—when the U of U comes together to support students, programs, and big ideas that make a real impact. It’s a celebration of generosity in full swing, and we were pumped to help capture that energy.

Our role focused on post-production, where we helped shape the final polish, rhythm, and flow of the piece—making sure every moment hit with emotional clarity and a little Savvy-style magic. Big energy. Big heart. Big giving.

zero fatalities - GDL Laws training

Parents play a huge role in helping teens become safe, confident drivers—and this training video shows just how powerful that partnership can be behind the wheel. When parents actively participate in the GDL training process with their teen, the results are huge: teenagers are 70% less likely to be involved in a crash. That’s not just a stat—that’s real impact, real safety, and real lives being protected.

Penna Powers brought us on to produce this highly-effective training video, designed to help families navigate the learning-to-drive journey together. It’s all about building better habits, stronger awareness, and safer roads for everyone. Because when parents and teens learn together, everyone gets home safe.
