National Energy foundation:
electrifying success
In collaboration with Rumor Advertising, Savvy Productions undertook the challenge of creating an interactive and educational choose-your-own-adventure short film for the National Energy Foundation. This video aimed to captivate the attention of middle and high school students, providing an entertaining yet informative exploration of electricity and electric vehicles (EVs).
The Process
To meet the challenge, we opted for a choose-your-own-adventure style video. The team crafted a script featuring relatable characters on a journey that the audience could connect with. Filming spanned various locations in Salt Lake County, and the subsequent editing process involved visual effects, color grading, and sound design. Custom-built motion graphic design elements and animations were incorporated to simplify complex subjects like the smart grid.
Services Rendered
We provided a comprehensive range of services, including writing, filming, location scouting, casting talent, animation, and the meticulous work of editing, color correction, VFX, and sound design.
The Outcome
The result was a 30-minute short film that not only surpassed expectations but became the National Energy Foundation’s most successful program of all time. Savvy Productions not only wrote the script but also meticulously designed and brought every scene to life.
The Impact
The project’s success was evident in the increased understanding of energy concepts and EVs among students. The video received acclaim, winning a Telly Award for its overall excellence. The client’s most successful presentation to date was a testament to the effectiveness of the collaboration.
