Some video productions take us to places that are pretty cool. Others take us somewhere that makes us stop, look around, and say, "Wow, we get to do this for a living?"
Our recent trip to Bangor, Maine, definitely fell into the second category
Team Savvy traveled across the country for this corporate video production, and it was quite the adventure. We filmed three interviews, captured breathtaking scenery, and came away with some seriously epic footage. From early-morning sunrises to gorgeous golden-hour sunsets, we had the opportunity to capture more than just video…
We captured real people, meaningful stories, and emotional moments against a backdrop that was pretty hard to beat.
And while we can't tell you exactly what story we filmed just yet, here's a little spoiler: Our client absolutely loves how the finished video turned out!
Let's just say this three-minute video is an emotional roller coaster. It has moments that make you smile, moments that make you think, and moments that might just tug at your heartstrings. That's the power of great storytelling!
Three Interviews. Incredible Stories. One Beautiful Backdrop.
At the heart of this corporate video project were three interviews. And while getting the technical details right is always important, what really makes an interview special is capturing the emotion behind the story.
We spent time listening to the people we interviewed, learning about their experiences, and finding those genuine moments that help bring a story to life.
Those expressions, meaningful conversations, and heartfelt moments are what make a video connect with an audience.
Of course, having a breathtaking Maine backdrop certainly didn't hurt!
Chasing Sunrises and Sunsets
When you're filming in a place as beautiful as Bangor, you want to take full advantage of every opportunity to capture it.
That meant early mornings, late evenings, and making the most of those magical moments when the sun is low on the horizon.
Sunrise brought a beautiful atmosphere to our shots, while sunset delivered that warm, cinematic light that makes footage feel extra special. We captured sweeping scenery and gorgeous establishing shots that helped set the mood and give the stories room to breathe.
It's one of those things we love about professional video production: sometimes the most memorable shots happen when you're willing to get up early, stay a little late, and chase the perfect light.
A Little Maine Adventure Along the Way
Of course, a production trip isn't just about cameras, lighting, and capturing great footage. It's also about experiencing the places we visit!
We had the chance to enjoy some amazing food at local restaurants and explore a little of what makes Bangor unique.
And naturally, we couldn't leave without paying a visit to one of Bangor's most famous residents: Paul Bunyan!
The larger-than-life lumberjack statue was definitely a fun stop and a great reminder that every production adventure comes with a few unexpected memories.
More Than Great Video: An Experience Clients Love
One of the things we're proudest of at Savvy Productions is the relationships we build with our clients. We want every project to result in a great video, but we also want the experience of getting there to be enjoyable.
Whether we're filming in our South Jordan studio or traveling across the country, we bring the same creativity, communication, and attention to detail to every production.
Don't just take our word for it. Here's what the two clients filming with us had to say:
"I've been working with Savvy for years and they never stop impressing me. We've used them for boring corporate videos, super creative and fun videos, and touching heartstring-tuggers. They excel in every aspect. Plus, they're great to be around. Whether it's in the office or traveling across the country together, they are thoughtful, fun, and professional. Highly recommend!"
And another client shared this about their experience working with Team Savvy:
"The level of pre-planning, communication, and coordination before we even got started set our project up for success. Stephen had a great eye and ear for understanding the story we wanted to tell, and brought us back a really awesome video that required very few edits. The review process was fast and easy. Even with a ton of limitations and last-minute changes, his quick thinking and creativity helped us tell a great story. Our customer is happy, and we are thrilled. We would definitely work with them again."
That's exactly what we strive for... Great storytelling, thoughtful planning, creative problem-solving, and videos our clients are genuinely proud to share.Utah Video Production That Travels Across the Country
