Lights, Camera...Elko!
One of the things we love most about being a video production company is that every project takes us somewhere new.
This time, the Savvy Production’s crew loaded up our trusty production van, hit the highway, and spent an entire week filming in beautiful Elko, Nevada. While we're based in Utah, our cameras are always ready for an adventure.
Our mission in Elko was an exciting one. We partnered with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to produce a series of training videos for the temple maintenance department. These videos are designed to help the dedicated teams who care for the temple every day, ensuring the building continues to be a beautiful, welcoming place for everyone who visits.
Projects like this remind us that every video has a purpose. Some videos make people laugh. Some inspire. Others teach important skills that help people do their jobs with confidence. We love being part of all of those stories.
Of course, no Savvy road trip would be complete without a little behind-the-scenes adventure…
While exploring downtown Elko, we stumbled across one of the town's most memorable landmarks—a giant cowboy boot! We couldn't resist stopping for a photo. After all, when a boot is taller than your crew, it's basically asking for a cameo. Even the local scenery knows how to steal a scene!
Between filming days, we enjoyed getting to know Elko a little better. That's one of our favorite parts of traveling for productions. Every community has its own personality, and it's always fun to discover local landmarks, meet great people, and experience places we might not have visited otherwise.
Having our ProMaster production van makes these road trips a whole lot easier. It carries everything we need—from cameras and lighting to audio equipment and production gear—so we're ready to roll whether we're filming in Salt Lake City, a small Utah town, or across the state line in Nevada.
Over the years, Savvy Productions has filmed all across Utah and throughout neighboring states, and every trip reminds us why we love what we do. New roads. New stories. New people. New opportunities to create a little movie magic.
