The Truth Is out there… Just not at the ufo landing site
One of the best things about being a Utah video production company is that you never know where the next story will take you…
Sometimes it's a corporate office.
Sometimes it's the middle of Southern Utah...with a UFO landing site just a few minutes down the road.
Naturally, Team Savvy had to make a quick pit stop…
No aliens were spotted (at least none that would agree to an on-camera interview), but it definitely earned a spot on our list of the most unexpected filming locations we've visited.
Our latest adventure with the awesome team at Rumor Advertising took us all across Southern Utah to help create a video for the Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA), highlighting how trust lands benefit Utah schools and communities.
And what a road trip it was.
Over several days, we rolled cameras in Castle Dale, Orangeville, Richfield, Salina, Hurricane, and St. George. We even ventured into Clawson—a tiny Utah town that many lifelong Utahns have never visited. That's one of the things we love most about our job. Every project introduces us to another corner of this incredible state and reminds us that some of Utah's best stories happen well off the beaten path.
Of course, Clawson wasn't our only memorable stop.
While driving through Salina, we found ourselves standing in front of a set of giant soda cans. Were they part of the production? Nope.
Did we absolutely have to grab a team photo anyway?
You better believe it…
Sometimes the best behind-the-scenes memories happen when the cameras aren't rolling.
The heart of this project, though, wasn't quirky roadside attractions. It was meeting the people and organizations that are making a real difference across Utah.
Throughout the week, we visited incredible businesses that lease trust lands, helping generate funding that supports Utah's public schools. From active mining operations to classrooms filled with the next generation of Utah students, every stop showed a different piece of how these lands positively impact communities throughout the state.
Filming inside a working mine is definitely a little different than filming in an office.
Hard hats? Check.
Reflective safety vests? Check.
Steel-toed boots? Absolutely.
Our crew was more than happy to trade sneakers for safety gear as we captured the hard work happening behind the scenes. It's always fascinating getting a firsthand look at industries that most people rarely have the chance to see.
Then we headed to a school, where the focus shifted away from heavy equipment to students, teachers, and the incredible impact these programs have on education. Seeing both sides of the story made this project especially meaningful. It wasn't just about land—it was about the people and opportunities those resources help make possible.
One of our favorite things about filming throughout Utah is experiencing just how diverse this state really is. In just a few days, we found ourselves surrounded by red rock cliffs, rolling farmland, small-town main streets, active industrial sites, and vibrant schools—all without ever leaving Southern Utah.
That's why we love what we do.
Whether we're filming in Salt Lake City, Richfield, St. George, or a tiny town that barely shows up on the map, every community has a story worth telling. As a Utah video production company, we've spent years traveling the state, discovering hidden gems, meeting amazing people, and helping our clients bring meaningful stories to life.
A huge thank you to Rumor Advertising for another epic adventure and for trusting us to help tell this important story.
And if our next production happens to pass another UFO landing site...
Well... we'll probably stop again.
You know… just in case…
